Moisture Absorber (Breather) — YC Series
Silica-gel breather installed on the conservator's air inlet. As transformer load and temperature change, air moves in and out — the breather's silica gel captures moisture so only dry air reaches the oil, protecting insulation from water contamination.

How often does the silica gel need replacement?
Depends on humidity and breathing volume — the gel must be replaced or re-dried when the indicator color shows saturation. We supply replacement gel and complete cartridges.
Can we order gel and spare parts separately?
Yes. Gel refills, oil cups and full breather units are all available as spare items — ideal to add to a mixed-parts shipment.
Overhauling the conservator? The rubber capsule (bladder) inside it is the other half of the oil/air barrier — usually worth replacing in the same outage. Back to the full accessories range.
